Enigmatic, Poland-born vocalist and one-woman band Meresha (meresha.com) moved to the United States at age 15, and released her debut EP, “Lunatic,” while in high school. Now a college student, her sophomore EP, “New Revolution,” adds elements of Prince and Annie Lennox to its predecessor’s impressive echoes of Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Amy Winehouse.
Meresha is the solo composer and performer on all four highly synthesized tracks, which include the bouncing opener “Lemonade City,” the electro-pop title track, the power ballad “You” and the closing production number “August.” Add in her current higher learning — studying music business — and Meresha may soon be on a first-name basis with the public.
